Bond Travel Gear was born out of one obsession: challenge. Founder Chris Elfering spent time in the military and traveled all over the world. For him, challenge is synonymous with adventure.
Sharing the road with soldiers, vagabonds, nomads, adventurers - Chris noticed that while all travelers were on different personal missions, they all shared the same need for good, reliable gear. Packs that would carefully organize and protect their tools on the inside, while taking a beating on the outside. He was reminded that in the military, the gear was rugged because it had to be.
Chris started Bond Travel Gear while traveling to inspire others to challenge themselves to go beyond their comfort zones. The mission: to provide rugged gear that blends easily into any environment, keeping the owner organized and protected on the road… to provide the gear that his friends and fellow travelers were asking for.
After an exhaustive search that took him all over the world, Chris found the right manufacturer. A group of craftsmen that could make gear as tough as the travelers he’d met. Together, they went between the drawing board and the field to test and retest until they finally arrived at a product that ticked all the boxes.
Created with super-tough 1000D, ballistic nylon Bond Travel Gear has built-in tear and abrasion resistance. It’s resilient and throwable, with double-stitched YKK auto lock zippers and stress points. The simple design is unassuming and camouflages into any environment. Rugged, minimalist, and adaptable – every item is made to get better with age and built to last a lifetime.
